Gardens Skate Park, also known as The Mill Park, is situated near the Gardens Centre on the corner of Maynard and Upper Mill Streets, (under the Mill Street/Jutland Avenue Bridge) right next to the MyCiTiBus terminus for easy access. It was built by the City of Cape Town’s Spatial Planning and Urban Design after winning the Building Trust Playscapes Design Competition. Officially opened on 2nd August 2014, this 400 sqm playscape has transformed a redundant CBD zone into a recreational hub for the city’s youth. Mill Park loved by all skaters ( newbies and professionals) and scooter enthusiasts and BMX riders too. For parents, it’s a great way to spend some quality time with your children.
Access: The Gardens Skate Park is located right next to a MyCiTi bus stop, so skaters can safely, affordably and conveniently get there and back on public transport.
