Arderne Gardens is a picturesque park situated in Claremont. It features a Japanese garden, shady glades and romantic nooks, and is a favourite destination for the taking of precious wedding photographs, and as a place to bring young children.
The garden contains one of the richest collections of exotic trees and shrubs in South Africa, with more than 300 magnificent trees including giant Norfolk Island Pines.
City Parks works with the Friends of the Arderne Gardens to maintain and improve the gardens. A brochure containing a map with the park’s special features and trees is obtainable from Scala Pharmacy across the road from the entrance to Arderne Gardens.
