The University of Cape Town is forging ahead to promote sustainable transport to and from campus – encouraging more students to ditch their cars and go by bike. Initiatives like Jammie Bike (a bicycle rental project), better cycle infrastructure and cycle route maps are paving the way to a truly bicycle friendly campus.
This month we kicked off our Bike Friendly Campaign with Lifestyle on Kloof becoming the first business to join this exciting initiative. The campaign encourages and empowers business owners to make their venues bicycle friendly. At Lifestyle on Kloof, 16 bicycle racks were installed, providing secure parking for over 32 bicycles!
